IPIA (International Packaged Ice Association) is a trade association representing manufacturers and distributors of packaged ice and manufacturers of ice making equipment, supplies and services. It was founded in 1917 as the National Ice Association, with the mission to promote growth and profitability for the packaged ice industry through the ongoing development and management of standards and value added services that enhance the image of the industry to consumers and trade-partners.

It is a public recognition to companies for the effective implementation of Producción más Limpia (PML) and has been promoted by the Cleaner Production Center of Nicaragua's National Engineering University (UNI) and the prize committee comprising the Ministry of Development, Industry and Trade (MIFIC), Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (MARENA), Ministry of Health (MINSA), Nicaraguan Institute of Support to small and medium enterprises (INPYME), Chamber of Industry of Nicaragua (CADIN) Association of Producers and Exporters of Nicaragua (APEN), Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAGFOR). With the support of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).

The award and Cleaner production is 4 years to be developing and participating companies are companies that have proven to be more productive and more committed to the environment and society in general.
